Frequently asked questions

An ID card maker is a tool for designing identification cards — employee badges, student cards, membership cards and similar organisational cards. You choose a template, add details such as a name, photo, designation and organisation, then export the finished card as an image or PDF. ID Card Maker is the Android app from Cutle that does this on your phone.

Not yet. The online editor is still in development, so the Create ID Card page is a preview of what is coming rather than a working tool. Today you can create cards with the Android app, which is available on Google Play.

Yes. ID Card Maker: Digital ID Card is published on Google Play under the package name app.idcardmaker. It is an Android app and there is no iOS version at this time.

Yes. In the app you can add a photo and enter the details that appear on the card, including name, designation, company or institute, phone number, email, website, address and an ID number. You can also pick from a set of professional templates.

The app exports finished cards as a PNG image or a PDF file, which you can save, share or send to a printer. This is the app's own export functionality; the website does not export cards yet.

Most features work offline according to the app's official Google Play listing, so you can design and export cards without a connection. Installing the app and downloading it from Google Play obviously require internet access.

No. The app is intended only for creating customisable professional and organisational ID cards. It does not create government IDs, national identity cards, passports, driving licences or any other official legal document, and you are responsible for how the cards you generate are used.

Open the Google Play listing for ID Card Maker: Digital ID Card and tap Install. Every download link on this site points to that same official listing.

Yes, that is the plan. The next phase of Cutle is a browser-based editor with accounts and cloud storage, so cards can be created on the web and kept in sync with the Android app. There is no confirmed release date, and we will only announce it once it is ready.

The blog covers practical ID card topics such as choosing a template, photo and size requirements, card design for students and employees, and how to produce a printable card. Articles are written to be genuinely useful rather than to fill space.
